Bashay Rift Lodge is a beautiful lodge with an intimate atmosphere, set at the heart of coffee plantations, just minutes from Karatu and close to the Ngorongoro Crater.
With sweeping 360° views over the Ngorongoro foothills and the Karatu highlands, the lodge comprises around twenty rooms with warm, carefully considered décor, either standalone or grouped around a lounge in small buildings of 4 and 6 rooms, a layout particularly popular with families.
A swimming pool is also available to guests.

Layout

The lodge consists of a main building styled after an African farmhouse, along with 25 rooms and suites spread across several cottages and chalets reminiscent of mountain lodges. The cottages stand individually on an escarpment, while the chalets, set further apart, group several rooms around their own shared areas.
Bashay Rift Lodge also offers a restaurant, a bar and an attractive infinity pool. A beautiful terrace opens onto the escarpment and the foothills of the Ngorongoro.
The lodge is also a working farm (coffee, fruit, vegetables, honey, and more).

Rooms

The lodge comprises 25 rooms and suites spread across several cottages and chalets, reminiscent of mountain chalets. The cottages stand individually on an escarpment, while the chalets, set further apart, group together several rooms with their own common areas.
The lodge also offers two spacious suites with a terrace boasting a magnificent view and a bathroom with bathtub.
