Sri Lanka
Yala
With just 14 villas spread across 4 hectares of land, you can enjoy a safari experience without compromising on comfort or exclusivity.
Chena Huts' main restaurant is Basses.
You can also enjoy “destination dining” around the property or in-room at private tables.
There is also a poolside bar and a spa.
Children are welcome at Chena Huts, but no specific childcare services are available. A maximum of 2 adults and 2 children under 12 can share the chalets.
The villas are carefully air-conditioned and feature large outdoor terraces with private plunge pools and loungers. The huts are tastefully decorated with a rustic feel very much in keeping with the safari experience. They are equipped with large beds, a dimmable lighting system, television, mini-bar and a tea/coffee tray, while the bathrooms feature a freestanding bathtub and two basins.
Set within a secluded sanctuary, Chena Huts offers the perfect escape for personal pampering. As one of Sri Lanka's most luxurious thermal spas, you can leave everything behind and enjoy a unique wellness retreat.
No trip to Yala would be complete without a safari in the national park. The park is home to 44 different mammal species, one of the highest densities of leopards in the world, numerous reptile species and 215 bird species. Safaris are included in the room rate, but you can also enjoy whale watching from Mirissa (2-3 hours by road) or visit Kataragama, a popular Buddhist and Hindu shrine and pilgrimage site on the edge of the park.
