À vivre

Where the waters meet, at the crossroads of Brazilian development and Amazonian tradition, Manaus is cradled by the Rio Solimões and Rio Negro as they flow into the Amazon.

A cruise on this legendary river is a true invitation to travel, combining absolute relaxation, unexpected excursions and striking encounters. Drifting gently through the cradle of the Amazon, enjoy a unique view of the riverbanks and their diverse wildlife (dolphins, piranhas, monkeys, caimans, multicoloured birds) and flora (water lilies and giant trees). Experience a true escape into the Amazon jungle, just as the most famous explorers once did.

The Rio Negro is an unexpected, perfect union of water and land, bordered by dense flooded forest. Who knows — around a bend, you may come upon a dream-like beach hidden among towering trees, a place to pause and take it in.

For a taste of history and heritage, explore the remnants of the golden age of rubber production. Finally, let your steps lead you to local villages, where you can learn about the way of life, customs and traditions of riverside communities, and experience the humility of meeting the people of the Amazon.

Day 1 - Boarding your private boat, the Amazon Odyssey

A briefing on safety instructions, your cruise itinerary and planned stops before casting off.
Heading for the “Três Bocas” site, right in the heart of the Anavilhanas archipelago, for this first stretch of navigation!

Resting on a deck chair or in a hammock, you watch the banks of the Rio Negro go by.
Depending on the season, you drop anchor at an exclusive spot chosen for you within this exceptional nature reserve, for an enchanting evening under a starlit sky.

Days 2 to 4 - Amazon, Rio Negro
Nature-scale emotions!
Over these 3 days, the Amazon opens its heart to you!
Let yourself drift with the lapping of the Rio Apuaú and then the Rio Cuieiras, taking in the exuberance of their wildlife and flora and the sheer scale of the landscapes.
Here, you explore, capture it on camera, take it all in...
There, you meet people, learn, and share...
Sparsely inhabited and perfectly preserved, these riverbanks are yours to enjoy fully.
By kayak, you can venture out around the boat, together and at your own pace, to try your luck with the fish or glide close to the surrounding sights.
Breathe in, breathe out! You are here, now...

Continuing down the Rio Negro toward the Jaraqui community.
Along the way, depending on the season, you experience the communion of water and forest with a magical, invigorating swim beneath a waterfall...
Living mainly from fishing and hunting, the people of Jaraqui then welcome you for an educational walk of about 1.5 hours through primary forest, focused on traditional plant-based remedies for everyday ailments.
Suited to all, this festival of scents, ingenuity and discovery is a remarkable expedition, the kind that leaves lasting travel memories.

Day 5 - Amazon, Rio Negro
On the other bank of the Rio Negro, toward the Rio Solimões, Lake Acajatuba is home to a unique population of pink river dolphins. These freshwater dolphins never travel to the sea. Wild yet playful, they enjoy human company and welcome you into water close to 30°C!
A moment of pure wonder for all ages.
After the play, comes the fishing... but we’ll keep the surprise intact!
The “ribeirinha” community of Acajatuba has many distinctive features that we’ll be delighted to introduce you to.
