Inspired by the elegant sailing boats used by Egyptian nobility in the 19th century, the Lazuli Luxor dahabieh is carefully decorated to reflect local craftsmanship while incorporating modern comforts. Its suite with private balcony and 4 spacious, luxurious cabins are fitted with windows allowing travellers to take in the spectacular landscapes of the Nile.

On board, a dedicated crew provides exceptional service for a maximum of 10 passengers, while a talented chef prepares gourmet dishes inspired by local flavours. At sunset, candelabras and lanterns light up a large communal table.
White, long and graceful, the Luxor allows guests to discover forgotten and little-known archaeological treasures built along the River of Kings, explore peaceful islands, and meet local communities in their villages, sharing in their daily activities (sun-baked bread, fishing, and more).
Sailing on the Lazuli Luxor means stepping outside of time, moving to the soothing rhythm of the Nile, for a stay rich in cultural discovery and complete relaxation.

Layout

On board, you will stay in cabins that are simple yet decorated with great refinement, in a distinctly Old English style. On the upper deck, you can take in the scenery while enjoying some downtime, comfortably settled into a deckchair or in the hot tub available to guests.
At the bow, the lounge – with its banquettes piled with cushions, its rugs and decorative objects – has an oriental charm, a genuine invitation to comfortable “meditation”.
In the evening, Lazuli offers a different atmosphere: dinner at a large communal table on deck by candlelight under a starry sky, or on an island amid palm trees.
On request, a private dinner can be arranged for added intimacy.
While preserving its old-world charm, Lazuli offers guests today's comforts: Internet, video projector, air conditioning.

Good to know: when the wind is light (as is often the case), the dahabieh is towed by an assistance tugboat.

You will discover the cabins, their comfort (windows, en-suite bathroom with washbasin, shower, private toilet), and the careful decor given to each one. Double bed or twin beds.
All cabins have individual air conditioning, a safe, a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. A lounge-library (with board games and Wi-Fi internet) offers a space for socialising.

Activities offered

The different stops along the way reveal the treasures of Egypt.
On board the Luxor, each day is an invitation to discovery and escape, with exclusive excursions and activities for travellers in search of authenticity.

The 4- or 5-night cruise between Luxor and Aswan combines historical discovery with traditional comfort. The journey begins with guided visits of Luxor’s iconic monuments, and continues with cultural stops, notably at El Kab, Edfu, and Kom Ombo.
Travellers can also explore traditional villages, discovering Egyptian rural life, meeting local craftsmen and tasting local specialities. Riverside picnics offer unique moments of immersion in the landscapes of the Nile.

If the dahabieh is privatised, the cruise can last up to 7 nights, depending on your wishes and availability.
