À vivre

Spitsbergen, the largest island in the Svalbard archipelago, is known as the “Arctic wildlife capital”. Over the course of this unforgettable 12-day journey, you will discover exactly why.
Building on Spitsbergen’s highlights, this extended journey has been designed to maximise time spent on the western side of the main island, giving you optimal chances of observing many of the polar region’s iconic species: whales, walruses, Svalbard reindeer, seabirds by the thousand, and of course the most iconic of all — the polar bear.
Beyond the opportunity to observe this remarkable parade of wildlife, this itinerary, longer than the classic week-long route, allows more time to explore the vast tundra and take in the surprisingly colourful natural beauty of the Arctic wilderness.
On board, you will benefit from naturalist lectures (in English) and educational programmes, led by an experienced and passionate team of Arctic experts.

Seasons

Our seasonal advice

Stops, landings and zodiac outings depend on weather conditions, ice position, winds and sea state. These factors may at any time require the Captain or expedition leader to cancel or interrupt an activity, or even to completely alter the itinerary. The final route will be confirmed by the ship's Captain, whose priorities are the quality of the experience and passenger safety. The decision will comply with that of the relevant authorities.
