Gal Oya
Gal Oya Lodge comprises seven secluded bungalows and a two-bedroom villa ideal for groups or families.
When not out on safari, relax on the poolside loungers and explore the park while taking in the breathtaking views.
The bar and restaurant are located in the main lodge and serve Eastern and Western cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks and hot drinks are also available throughout the day. All meals are prepared with local produce, some of it grown in the on-site organic vegetable garden.
Children are welcome.
Each bungalow has been designed with respect for the environment, built with natural materials, solar-powered showers and sustainable living spaces for an eco-friendly retreat. They consist of a large spacious bedroom, a separate living room and a comfortable veranda to enjoy your surroundings.
Activities around Gal Oya Lodge include safaris, boat safaris, nature walks and cultural visits. You can choose your daily activities according to your interests and preferences, so speak to the lodge staff to plan your stay. If you wish to take part in cultural visits, you can meet the local Veddha people, an indigenous group native to this region. It is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into the culture and history of the local community.
