Set on a private concession just outside Serengeti National Park (20 minutes from the Ikoma gate, to the north), it offers a different approach to wildlife, with excursions not available within the national park itself — night safaris, guided walks, and even electric safari vehicles that leave no pollution and allow a silent approach to the animals.
The view over the Serengeti plains is unobstructed.

Layout

This lodge features 10 tents with views over the Serengeti and the Grumeti River.
It also has a swimming pool overlooking the endless Serengeti plains.
The common areas are spacious and house the restaurant, bar and lounge, as well as two terraces with sunset views in the evening. The warm, welcoming décor blends perfectly with the tents' architecture and solid wood flooring.
Mindful of its environmental footprint, the camp runs exclusively on solar power.

Rooms

Each tent is divided into 3 areas: a partially open lounge area, a bedroom area with mosquito nets opening onto the terrace, and an integrated bathroom with shower, washbasin, toilet, laundry service and running water.

Activities offered

Many activities are available from Ikoma Hills: besides the electric 4x4 safari (this area is home to resident wildlife as well as the great migration for part of the year), you can take walking safaris, night safaris, go bird watching, and enjoy other outings (village visits, the old German fort...).
