Kruger
Elevated above the ground, it offers an incredible view over the country's largest nature reserve, thanks notably to its wide glass bays and terraces, not recommended for those prone to vertigo.
Each carriage has been converted into luxury rooms that showcase local culture and art, along with custom-made furniture. There is also a lounge car with a bar, a pool and a terrace overlooking Kruger National Park.
The hotel offers 31 rooms, including 24 train carriage suites and 7 Bridge House suites.
Kruger Shalati offers refined local cuisine, two lounge bars and even a pool with a sweeping view.
The arrival lounge, reception and dining rooms, as well as two of the three pools, are located alongside the Selati Bridge, overlooking the majestic Sabie River.
The Sabie River flows year-round, drawing animals and birds daily to drink from its waters.
Children are accepted from age 6 in the Bridge House Suites (next to the bridge) and from age 12 in the Carriage Suites (on the bridge).
Kruger Shalati offers two types of accommodation:
- 24 Carriage Suites located in the Train on the bridge, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering endless views along the majestic Sabie River (children aged 12 and over)
- 7 Bridge House Suites located beside the bridge in a picturesque garden, elegantly decorated with remarkable views along the Sabie River and next to the bridge.
One of the seven rooms is the exclusive honeymoon suite, while the others can be interconnected for families.
A special menu has been created using powerful ingredients to heal, restore and rejuvenate.
Services included: all meals, tea and coffee, daily soft drinks, house wines, local-brand spirits and beers, two daily open 4x4 safaris, return road transfer between Skukuza airport and the lodge
