À vivre

From São Luís to Jericoacoara, this is nearly a thousand kilometres of adventure along the equator... Aboard a canoe and a 4x4, set off to discover extraordinary sites:

Day 1 - SÃO LUÍS - BARREIRINHAS

Private driver transfer without guide to Barreirinhas. Around 4 hours on the road, during which you'll discover the local ecosystem with its vast stretches planted with Buriti and Carnaúba palms. These are fundamental to the traditional local economy: their trunks provide timber for building houses, their fronds become the thatch for roofs, the wax of one is sold to the food and cosmetics industries, while the other yields delicious fruit used in sorbets and jams.

In the afternoon, visit Lençóis by 4x4 vehicle in a small group with a French-speaking guide. Lagoa Azul circuit.
The excursion to discover the “lagoa azul” begins with a ferry crossing to the other side of the river, followed by a 40-minute jeep ride through an interdunal landscape, before climbing one of the dunes to reveal blue-green water you'll already be longing to dive into. The contrast between the vastness of the dunes and the coolness rising from the lagoons is striking.

Day 2: BARREIRINHAS / VASSOURAS / CABURE / MANDACARU / ATINS
Visit the Rio Preguiças and its surroundings by shared speedboat, as far as the Atins jetty.
4x4 transfer by car to the hotel in a small group.

Day 3: ATINS / CABURE / TUTOIA / PARNAIBA / BARRA GRANDE
Early morning, private transfer to the Atins jetty to cross the Rio Preguiças by speedboat.
On a private basis, visit Tutoia, Cabure, and the Paulino Neves dunes. Visit the Delta do Parnaíba by speedboat to the Tatus jetty.
4x4 transfer from Tatus to Barra Grande.

Day 4: BARRA GRANDE / CAMOCIM / TATAJUBA / JERICOACOARA
About 2 hours on a paved road to reach the village of Camocim. Ferry crossing to the Tatajuba lagoon, arriving in time for lunch.
Continue on to Jericoacoara.
