Ngorongoro Crater
Laba Ngorongoro is built around the carefully preserved former Conservator’s house. It now houses the reception, a warm bar-lounge, and an elegant boutique. The lodge opens onto the surrounding landscape and offers several indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces. The dining room offers sweeping views, ideal for enjoying refined buffets. Designed for extended stays, the lodge combines history, comfort, and immersion at the heart of the conservation area.
Set at 2,200 metres above sea level, Laba Ngorongoro was conceived as a luxurious, cosy retreat, offering ideal conditions for a stay far longer than a simple stopover, given how much the region has to offer. Luxurious, as shown by the 20 ‘Deluxe Rooms’ of 50 m², each with a small sitting area, a dressing room, a bathroom fitted with both a bathtub and a shower, and a terrace from which to enjoy the exceptional view; the decor is highly refined and the bed linen of great delicacy.
Cosy, because at 2,200 metres above sea level, nights can turn particularly cool. All our rooms are equipped with air conditioning as well as underfloor heating in the bathroom, for absolute comfort.
The table is a delight. It follows the Signature Laba Laba found across all our Lodges & Camps, a gourmet, healthy (organic) cuisine. Our guests will enjoy generous buffets, including a rotisserie and a magnificent spread of desserts and pastries created by French pastry chefs.
From the lodge, set off to explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater in search of the Big Five.
The region also offers a unique cultural richness with the Maasai and Hadzabe peoples, as well as fascinating archaeological sites such as Olduvai Gorge.
Don't miss the Shifting Sands or Lake Manyara with its tree-climbing lions.
Hikes, safaris and encounters with local communities make every stay a complete experience, blending nature, wildlife and heritage.
