There is no shortage of wonderful places to relax: the infinity pool sits just above the rice paddies and is an ideal spot to sit and enjoy the view.
The villas have their own private courtyard and a long veranda, and there are three ambalamas (pavilions), perfect for settling in with a good book and a cool drink. The forest pavilions are uniquely built from local timber on cantilevered platforms, offering spectacular views over the treetops.
The six elegant Villas are perfectly suited to the wonderful climate and combine luxury with traditional Sri Lankan design.

The kitchen at Living Heritage Koslanda prepares a blend of traditional Sri Lankan dishes and Western dishes.
The “semi-open wall” concept of the rooms gives guests a genuine connection with nature, in a unique and romantic setting.
The nine elegant rooms are perfectly suited to the wonderful climate and combine luxury with the design, architecture, colours and traditional textures of Sri Lanka. The hotel has worked with local artisans and revived forgotten construction techniques to ensure that every building is authentically Sri Lankan down to the smallest detail.
Colours and textures recurring across the centuries are used throughout, and the rooms are furnished with beautiful antiques sourced from across the country.
Each of the three suites in the luxury villa has a private courtyard, an outdoor pool and a hot-water shower, as well as a spacious indoor bathroom. If you have never showered by moonlight, it is an experience that will make you reluctant to return to your usual routine.
The villas are equipped with an “emperor” bed, mini-bar and wifi.
Living Heritage Koslanda is perfect for those who enjoy hiking and walking. Explore local tea plantations and gardens, walk through 40 hectares of protected forest to a private waterfall, or join a local naturalist on a guided tour of the estate to discover the region's unique flora and fauna. Wander through sleepy, unspoilt villages where you might be invited to join locals for a cup of tea, or visit nearby ancient Buddhist sites.
You can also pick up a book, find a quiet spot in one of the many ambalamas (pavilions), or relax in the infinity pool with panoramic views over the hills and rice paddies below.
There are plenty of private spaces for your morning yoga or meditation session.
