Glaciers Alaska
For more than thirty years, this lodge has welcomed travellers drawn by the glacier, who then fall for everything that makes this family-run address so appealing: 21 rooms, each different, refined cuisine to satisfy the most discerning palates, and warm, genuine hospitality.
Whether you set out to explore the ancient ice with crampons on your feet, admire the Chugach peaks from your terrace as they catch the last light of the sun, or savour a glass of wine as the valley settles into evening quiet, every moment spent here is bound to become a lasting memory.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
The lodge also offers welcoming common areas, including a large dining room and a lounge, as well as a covered terrace with mountain views. A restaurant serves carefully prepared cuisine showcasing local produce, with breakfast and dinner served on site.
A bar completes the offering.
Parking is free and rooms are non-smoking. Set within a preserved natural environment close to Matanuska Glacier, the Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge favours a warm, genuine experience, ideal for unwinding after a day exploring Alaska.
The lodge offers 21 distinctive accommodations, spread between the main lodge, simpler rooms and independent chalets. In an authentic mountain spirit, the rooms prioritise comfort and functionality, with a warm decor in harmony with the natural surroundings. Depending on the category chosen, they feature a queen-size or king-size bed, or multiple beds able to accommodate families and small groups.
Amenities include heating, a private or shared bathroom depending on the room, a shower or bathtub, a hairdryer and toiletries.
Some categories offer more space, notably a master suite and the new Moose Chalet, made up of four bedrooms each with two queen-size beds sharing a living area and a terrace. The Coyote and Grizzly chalets, meanwhile, offer a more independent option, ideal for enjoying the surrounding quiet.
