Yacutinga Lodge sits on the Upper Iguazú River in the far northeast of Argentina, just 60km from the Iguazú Falls. (Iguazú National Park, straddling the Argentine, Brazilian and Paraguayan borders, holds pristine areas of subtropical selva. More than 2,000 plant species, over 400 bird species, along with mammals and reptiles, have been recorded there. Arriving at this place, you are quickly struck by the birdsong and the sounds of the selva.) (The lodge was designed to provide the best possible comfort right in the middle of the jungle.) (The lodge's buildings follow the gentle slope of the natural terrain and blend into the surrounding nature. Construction used materials gathered directly on site, such as fallen trees, stones and trunks, and it harmonises perfectly with the natural environment.) (The lodge devoted only 4 of the property's 570 hectares to building this ecotourism complex, a first in Argentina. At Yacutinga Lodge, services are built above all on respect for local culture, bringing traditional local meals up to an international standard in preparation and presentation.) The lodge's food is partly sourced from the local orchard or from small local producers who use no agrochemicals. The rooms are scattered through the forest, set at a distance around the main building. Each accommodation module has 4 rooms.
