Morukuru Beach Lodge, part of Morukuru Family, is also a Relais & Chateaux member. It is located on the wild coastline of the De Hoop Nature Reserve, along the Garden Route. In addition to its varied landscapes (fynbos, white sand dunes, limestone cliffs), the reserve is a witness to the passage of southern right whales.
Secluded at its heart, Morukuru Beach Lodge, a luxury eco-lodge, is designed to be comfortable and refined while offering a wide range of activities suited to all ages and tastes.

Layout

In addition to its 5 suites, the Morukuru Beach Lodge has a restaurant, a bar and a library, as well as a heated pool, an outdoor bath and a jacuzzi.
Meals can be taken outdoors or packed to go for a picnic on the beach, in the dunes or in the fynbos.

Rooms

Morukuru Beach Lodge comprises 4 luxurious “Ocean View Suites” and one “Dune View Suite”. All suites are 90 m² and can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child.
All suites feature a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, a dining area and a living room with fireplace, an electronic safe and a patio with sofas and a fire pit.

Activities offered

Morukuru Beach Lodge offers a wide range of activities suited to all ages. Those seeking adventure can try sandboarding, snorkelling, coastal walks and activities, or cycling, while the more contemplative will enjoy birdwatching, whale watching, or walks through the fynbos, a plant formation endemic to South Africa. After a day of activities, the pool, the sheltered courtyard or the first-floor terrace make ideal spots to unwind, the latter being particularly well suited to sunset or stargazing sessions.
Two guided activities per day (shared, not private) are included, though they can generally also be done individually or without a guide.
Equipment is also provided for guests: diving gear (wetsuits, masks & snorkels), beach shoes & boots, windbreakers, parasols and mountain bikes.
