The legendary Tierra del Fuego, the last stop before the vast white expanse of Antarctica, shaped by unrelenting elements. Ushuaia, the southernmost town on the planet, and Cape Horn, the cape of all dangers, give full meaning to the expression “end of the world.”
Tierra del Fuego National Park, located just 12 kilometres from Ushuaia, spans 700 km² of marine coastline, lakes, valleys and Patagonian forests. These forests are home to a great number of tree species, which take on an intense reddish hue in autumn, as well as various mammals such as guanacos, red foxes, Chilean otters, beavers and rabbits, and several dozen bird species, particularly concentrated in this region where land meets sea.
