This safari takes you through the spectacular and rarely visited landscapes of eastern Baffin Island. Glacier-covered coastlines, majestic mountain peaks and dazzling icebergs form a striking backdrop, while the midnight sun casts a glow both day and night.

This expedition offers the chance to observe polar bears and bowhead whales, taste fresh Arctic char, kayak on Baffin Island's glacier-fed lakes, visit Auyuittuq National Park, and pick wild Arctic blueberries.

Day 1 02/04/2025
This safari begins in Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut.
Departure from Ottawa International Airport to Qikiqtarjuaq. Transfer to a local hotel for a hot dinner.

  - 5T119 - 8:00 AM - Ottawa (YOW) → 11:10 AM - Iqaluit (YFB)

  - 5T824 - 2:55 PM - Iqaluit (YFB) → 4:30 PM - Qikiqtarjuaq (YVM)

MEALS INCLUDED: Breakfast and snack (in flight), Dinner.

Day 2 03/04/2025
After breakfast, we travel to camp by snowmobile and qamutik (a traditional wooden Inuit sled with suspended or foam-padded seats, towed behind a snowmobile). We travel over sea ice, and although suspension seats have been added to the qamutiks for a smoother ride, the farther into the season we go, the bumpier the ride can be.
You will experience the thrill of gliding over the ice. You'll get a first glimpse of deep fjords carved by glaciers, icebergs frozen in place forming imposing pillars, and chances to spot wildlife along the way to camp. Arrival at camp before dinner to settle in and enjoy a tour of the facilities to get comfortable right away.
MEALS INCLUDED: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Days 3 to 7: April 04 to 08, 2025
A paradise for photographers! Inuit guides use their traditional knowledge to locate polar bears and help you observe them up close, safely. Weather conditions and snow conditions determine the exact route. Hot lunches are served on site and gourmet dinners are served at camp. Schedules are determined by wildlife and our guests. Enjoy the Northern Lights and good company at night.
MEALS INCLUDED: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 8: 09/04/2025
After a hot breakfast, you can capture a few last memories and
photos. Return to Qikiqtarjuaq and overnight at a local hotel.
