The main area of Palmwag Lodge, beneath an impressive thatched roof, is tastefully decorated with woven baskets and tribal masks, creating an atmosphere that is both authentic and warm. It includes a welcoming restaurant, a separate lounge equipped with a large wood-burning stove, and an indoor bar for relaxing after a day of safari. The ambience combines rustic charm with modern comfort. Meals can also be enjoyed outdoors on the terrace, which offers a spectacular view of the river and the distant mountains. To cool off, the lodge has two swimming pools: one reserved for lodge guests and the other accessible to campers and day visitors, ensuring relaxation and enjoyment for everyone in this unique natural setting.
Children are welcome at Palmwag Lodge.
Note that children under 12 are not admitted on walking safaris, the sleep-out under the stars experience, or black rhino tracking.
Palmwag Lodge offers several accommodation options suited to all types of travellers. The lodge has 13 standard thatched-roof rooms, including 2 family units sharing a small pool, 4 secluded luxury tents, and 10 tented chalets, along with a number of camping pitches set within the gardens. The chalets and luxury tents are comfortably furnished and well removed from the activity of the main area, offering peace and privacy.
For those seeking a unique experience under the stars, the lodge also offers an unforgettable overnight adventure (for 2 to 8 people). After a guided safari, you reach your camp at the heart of the Palmwag concession, where you will spend the night. Settle around the campfire, take in the starry sky and enjoy a delicious dinner in the heart of nature, for total immersion in the Namibian desert.
To take in the expanses of the Palmwag Concession and the animals that roam it, Palmwag Lodge offers a range of activities: walking safaris (morning and evening) or 4x4 safaris (morning and evening, the latter with a sundowner), black rhino tracking in Torra Conservancy, a full-day excursion into Damaraland, and a night under the open sky (safari included).
