A legendary experience: the horseback safari!
Every rider must be physically fit and confident in the saddle. A short assessment in the arena before departure is mandatory, to confirm each rider's ability to control their mount, with a minimum requirement of a comfortable trot.
Novice riders can enjoy gentle outings of 60 to 90 minutes across the plains.
For intermediate riders and above, horseback safaris of 2 to 4 hours are offered around Ol Donyo Lodge.

The stable comprises around twenty horses, all thoroughly trained and accustomed to the environment. They are chosen for their relaxed temperament, endurance and versatility. Several breeds are represented, including Friesian-Shire crosses, Arabians, and South African Boerperds.
