Savute Safari Lodge is tucked away in a forest of camelthorn acacia at the heart of Chobe National Park. The lodge sits on the banks of the Savute Channel, dubbed the “stolen river” by legend. After long remaining dry, it now flows once more. The Savute Channel is part of an ecosystem renowned for its large elephant herds and the lions that gather there in great numbers.

Layout

Only around twenty privileged guests share the 12 spacious thatched-roof chalets with private decks, built from a skilful blend of wood, palm and glass, ideally designed for the region's hot, dry climate.
The lounge, library and bar are located in the main timber-framed lodge, thatched and overlooking the channel, the terrace, and the pool.

Rooms

Each room is comfortably equipped with a private bathroom, fan, hairdryer, sitting area, safe, tea/coffee facilities and veranda.

Activities offered

4x4 safaris allow you to track the rich wildlife of Savute, renowned for its high concentration of predators, including lions and spotted hyenas, as well as for its male elephants. You will also have the chance to track numerous other species: leopards, wild dogs, giraffes, buffalo, impala, wildebeest, tsessebe, kudu, as well as a wide variety of birds.
A visit to the San rock art at Gubatsa Hills will also be on offer.
