South Luangwa
Tena Tena is a camp with just 6 tents, where privacy, calm and serenity are the order of the day.
They are all spaced out from the central tent where meals are served.
Here you are at the heart of the bush, a chance to disconnect with no wifi access and open your eyes to the richness of South Luangwa National Park.
The 6 tents are well spaced apart and all offer views over the Luangwa River, where animals come to drink. Each one has a private bathroom open to the outdoors.
Your days include: day and night 4x4 safaris, walking safaris (accompanied by an experienced armed guide), bush breakfasts, picnics, boat safaris on the Luangwa River (from late December to April), a visit to Kawaza village and the surrounding schools, and a walk through the lively community around Mfuwe (the small “dukas” (shops), the market, the bars, the craftspeople...).
The open-top Land Cruisers are fitted with 2 rows of seats (three rows for groups/families) — a guaranteed window seat for all guests (i.e. two people per row).
