The Lindis

At the edge of the world lies the breathtaking Ahuriri Valley. Carved over millions of years by the glacial waters of the Ahuriri River, the valley is now a tranquil, restorative corner of paradise — a secret pocket of the South Island of New Zealand.
Tucked away at the head of the valley is The Lindis, a new haven as refined as it is seamlessly integrated into its surroundings.

With its elegant timber-slatted roof paying direct tribute to the contours of the surrounding hills, the building's design creates an undeniable sense of harmony with the landscape around it — a harmony that runs through every detail of this highly exclusive property.

Inside, the building's magnificent spotted gum timber panelling and imposing Bluestone masonry echo the tones of the outside world. Large glass windows act as a kind of mirror play, blurring the line between inside and outside until the two seem to merge into one.
The lodge comprises two spacious master suites, three luxury suites, three “pods” — in our view the jewels of the property — a large dining hall, a bar, lounges, a games room and a billiards room. All share the same refined aesthetic and are designed for guests' utmost comfort.

Outside, the immediate surroundings offer a wealth of experiences in direct contact with nature. From fly-fishing in the Ahuriri River to horseback riding around Ben Avon, the Lindis experience extends well beyond the property's threshold.
