Trinidad is part of the Serra da Bocaina national park. It is a pristine cove made up of four beaches and a natural pool where French and English pirates once landed, unable to enter the bay of Paraty, protected as it was by its ramparts. You reach Trinidad by road.
Trinidad is known for its beaches: Praia do Cepilho, popular with surfers, Praia dos Ranchos with its fishermen's bars and natural rock sculptures, and Praia do Meio, ideal for swimming. It is at the far end of this beach that you will take the trail leading to Caixa d'aço beach and its natural pool.
