The use of arched fabric structures allows each of the 28 tents to take on the shape and colour of the rocks and boulders scattered nearby, while a clever leopard-paw-shaped layout alludes to the region’s most famous resident.
The Ten Tuskers bar and the open-air Dining Pavilion, designed to echo the rocks scattered along the golden beach, wrap around the resort’s huge free-form swimming pool. At the restaurant, you can savour creative daily-changing menus featuring authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, as well as sunset cocktails and open-air picnics on the sand dunes.
Children are welcome.
The king-size Cocoons have high vaulted ceilings and offer views of the jungle through double-height facades. The interior blends elegance with contemporary design innovations, from handmade freestanding copper bathtubs to sumptuous canopy beds. Teak floors and canvas walls complement touches of dark leather and recycled metal hardware for an eclectic, design-driven aesthetic.
Four secluded stretches facing Pool Cocoons offer private pools, while sixteen other Cocoons, in groups of four, are scattered around water points designed to attract a wide variety of birds and amphibians.
The family Cocoons space has an adjoining 20 m2 Urchin tent with twin beds, ideal for children and young adults, offering privacy and space for both parents and children.
