Salar Uyuni
The salar has a dry winter from May to October and a rainy summer from December to March. It is very cold there, with a biting wind. At night, temperatures often drop to -25°C in June (the coldest months being June, July and August).
December to March is generally the rainy season in the Uyuni salt flat region. During this season, the salar can flood, and it is not always possible to reach Incahuasi Island by car, as it turns into an actual island. The landscape remains no less striking, with the sky reflected on the water; the salar becomes a giant mirror, an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts.
During the months of June to August, temperatures in the salar and Lípez region can drop sharply, but the weather is typically dry and sunny.
