À vivre

Set off on a unique adventure at the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, an exceptional sanctuary home to nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. This unforgettable trek takes you through dense, lush vegetation, where every step brings you closer to a rare and moving encounter with these majestic primates.

Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will follow the gorillas' trail, observing their tracks and the signs left along their path. After several hours of walking across hills and valleys, the magical moment arrives: you find yourself face to face with a family of gorillas, moving peacefully through their natural habitat. You will be able to watch them interact, play and feed just a few metres away, a deeply immersive experience conducted with full respect for their environment.

This trek requires good physical fitness, but the emotion of seeing these fascinating creatures in their wild world rewards every effort. Bwindi, with its exceptional biodiversity and mystical atmosphere, promises a moment that will stay with you forever. A journey outside of time, where humans become humble spectators of nature's raw beauty.

Strict rules govern gorilla observation: a maximum of 8 visitors per day may approach a habituated group, limiting disturbance and the risk of transmitting human diseases.

After a morning briefing at the park headquarters, you will walk between 3 and 7 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family assigned to you that morning. The route can reach 2,600 metres in altitude, with demanding, steep terrain. Once the group is found, you will have one hour to observe them up close: a rare and moving moment in which you can admire their behaviour, their interactions and the tenderness of their family bonds.

An immersive and authentic adventure, as close as possible to wild nature, that will stay etched in your memory.
