Layout
The lodge has 9 private, comfortable thatched “bandas” decorated in the traditions of the Bafumbira people, each with an en-suite bathroom, fireplace and private verandas.
It also features a beautiful lounge, veranda and terrace with a fantastic view over the volcanoes and the Kisoro valley.
It offers a warm welcome and includes a restaurant, a pleasant lounge, and a day room overlooking the volcanoes with spectacular views of the Kisoro valley below. Guests can also enjoy a lovely terrace with lush landscaped gardens. Wi-Fi and charging stations are available in the lodge’s main building.
Rooms
The luxury bandas reflect the aesthetic traditions of the Bufumbira people, with their distinctive colours. Each banda has a shower room, a fireplace and a private porch.
Activities offered
Nature enthusiasts can set off to encounter mountain gorillas or golden monkeys on unforgettable treks in Mgahinga National Park. Hiking enthusiasts will appreciate climbing the Muhavura, Gahinga or Sabyinyo volcanoes, which offer spectacular views. A cultural encounter with the Batwa community provides insight into their traditional way of life. For a moment of relaxation, the lodge offers peaceful gardens and a soothing spa. Finally, forest excursions allow you to observe a varied wildlife, including rare birds and mountain antelopes.
