Set within an overlooked yet remarkable park in Uganda — Kidepo Valley National Park — Apoka Safari Lodge is the finest lodge in this remote region.
It blends into a landscape of endless savannah, punctuated by rocky kopjes. The ten thatched-roof chalets, with canvas walls and expansive glass openings, offer total immersion in the wilderness. From your private veranda, watch elephants and giraffes roam freely. After a day on safari, unwind in an outdoor bathtub carved from rock, or take a dip in the stone-cut pool while gazing up at Africa's starlit sky.

Layout

Perched on a kopje overlooking the Narus River valley, the lodge's layout follows the rocky terrain, with ten spacious, independent cottages, each oriented to take in sweeping views over the endless plains of Kidepo National Park. The main building, open to the breeze and sun, houses a rustic lounge, a welcoming dining area and a natural pool carved into the rock.
All around, animals roam freely, making Apoka an intimate and spectacular living backdrop.

Apoka Safari Lodge is happy to welcome children of all ages. However, parents are asked to remain vigilant, particularly with young children, due to the proximity of wildlife. A childcare service may be available subject to availability, for a worry-free family stay.
