Feel as though you have your own home, comfort and privacy in the midst of nature. With personalised attention and service, La Manigua Lodge offers an experience set within the natural surroundings of the world's most beautiful river, Caño Cristales. The facilities are immersed in the rainforest of the Serranía de La Macarena, surrounded by birdsong and the curiosity of monkeys.
La Manigua Lodge uses renewable energy and sustainable construction, prioritising low impact on the surrounding forest — making use of trees as protection against strong winds and sunlight, and as a means of coexisting with the forest's various animal species.
In this natural setting, you are the main focus: your senses and emotions come first.
The lodge comprises several wooden bungalows or cabins suspended and connected by raised walkways overlooking the vegetation. The bungalows are built from natural, environmentally friendly materials and inspired by local indigenous architecture. This layout allows visitors to feel immersed in nature while enjoying modern comfort.
The rooms at Manigua Lodge are single or double suites with large windows and partially open walls, offering unobstructed views of the surrounding jungle. The beds are fitted with mosquito nets to ensure guests’ comfort at night. The bathrooms are semi-open, with outdoor showers, allowing guests to stay in direct contact with nature while preserving their privacy. The lodge has no permanent electricity; however, it uses solar power to provide lighting and charge certain devices, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
Manigua Lodge offers a range of immersive activities that allow visitors to discover the natural and cultural beauty of the region. Activities on offer include:
