Set off on an unforgettable hike to the top of the majestic Murchison Falls, where the Nile surges with impressive force through a narrow 7-metre-wide gorge. This scenic trail leads you through lush vegetation, offering spectacular views of the turbulent waters and the rainbows formed by the spray. After a short boat crossing to reach the starting point, you begin an ascent of around 45 minutes to 1 hour along a well-marked but at times steep trail. This route, around 1.5 km long, follows the cliff edge and offers striking views over the Nile.
At the summit, at around 1,200 metres altitude, you will feel the full raw force of nature, facing a breathtaking spectacle.
Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will learn about the history and the unique ecosystem of this natural wonder.
This hike is accessible to anyone in good physical condition and can be combined with a cruise on the Nile.
