Nestled on the border between Kenya and South Sudan, Kidepo Valley National Park is one of Uganda’s wildest and most remote jewels. Its spectacular landscapes alternate between vast golden plains, fertile valleys and rugged mountain ranges, forming a breathtaking setting. Its semi-arid climate, marked by contrasting seasons, reinforces its unique and unspoiled character.
Rarely visited due to its isolation, this park guarantees an authentic safari experience, far from the crowds. It is home to an exceptional diversity of wildlife, including numerous predators rarely seen elsewhere in Uganda. Among them are the striped hyena, cheetah, and more elusive species such as the bat-eared fox, serval and caracal.
The plains also teem with iconic herbivores, such as buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species. Lions, often perched on rocky outcrops to survey their territory, add to the majesty of the place.
With more than 470 bird species, including the rare shoebill stork and the ostrich, Kidepo is also a prime destination for birdwatching enthusiasts.
Exploring Kidepo Valley National Park means discovering a raw, unspoiled Africa, where nature still reigns supreme and every wildlife encounter is an exceptional moment.
