Example of a tailor-made journey, fully customisable
Cambodge Vietnam
18 days / 16 nights
SAIGON
Ho Chi Minh City is an essential stop on your journey. You’ll have a full day to visit its historic sites, the Cho Lon Chinese quarter, Binh Tay Market, and Thien Hau Pagoda, where worshippers and visitors gather beneath the huge hanging incense spirals.
This is where the soul of Vietnam truly comes through.

CRUISE ABOARD THE BASSAC
Boarding the “Bassac,” you’ll discover the heart of the Mekong Delta over the course of a day, spending the night in a comfortable cabin.
The Bassac anchors for the night near Tra On floating market — an ideal spot to soak up its unique atmosphere from first light, before crossing the Cho Lach canal amid the traffic of rice and sand barges, in a setting of traditional riverside life.
Along the way, you’ll visit a village and cycle through surrounding orchards and rice paddies before reaching the Cambodian border by boat, taking in the Mekong’s atmosphere through encounters with fishermen and Cham ethnic communities.
GULF OF THAILAND
After crossing the Cambodian border, you’ll reach the Gulf of Thailand and the town of Kep, set on a small peninsula where a palm-lined road follows the coast for several kilometres. You’ll have time to enjoy its beaches, still unspoiled, or to visit Kompong Trach, with its caves and beautiful rice paddies.
Unless you’d rather visit one of King Sihanouk’s palaces!
PHNOM PENH
From one rice paddy and temple to the next, you’ll reach Prasat Neang Khmau, the Temple of the Black Lady.
Then comes Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital, opening the doors of its palaces and pagodas to you.
Visit the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, finishing at the market where a thousand colours and scents will sharpen every sense.
KAMPONG KHLEANG VILLAGE
Kampong Khleang is a highly authentic floating village, spared from mass tourism.
You can wander among the impressively tall stilt houses, meet local residents, and take a local boat ride along the canals to the lake, where villagers relocate their homes with the rhythm of the seasons.
Then visit one of the region’s oldest sites, the Roluos group: the cradle of the Khmer Kingdom.
THE TEMPLES OF ANGKOR
Over two days (the least one can devote to it…), you’ll immerse yourself in the history of the Khmer Empire, visiting the extraordinary temples of Angkor, the world’s oldest religious monument, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It is of course possible to extend this discovery by adding a few days to this sample itinerary.

TONLE SAP LAKE & BATTAMBANG
If a reason were needed, Battambang offers the perfect excuse to cross a beautiful stretch of Cambodian countryside made up of rice paddies, temples and villages of traditional houses.
Unless you’d rather cross the great lake on a private traditional boat to Kompong Luong, one of the largest floating villages on the Tonle Sap, before continuing on to Battambang.
