A safari orchestrated by your private French-speaking guide to discover the essential sites of northern Tanzania.
And to finish, the private Grumeti concession holds some fine surprises in store, with a night safari in an electric 4x4 and a walking safari.

TARANGIRE
Tarangire National Park, named after the river that runs through it, opens its doors for a full day of safari, among herds of elephants and baobab trees.
A superb park for a perfect introduction to Maasai country.

One-night stay in a small, charming camp set inside the national park, with a breathtaking view over Lake Burunge.

Parc national de Tarangire

Its name sounds like a drumroll. Africa's giants gather here. The baobab and the elephant dominate, reigning unchallenged over the vastness of this park.
Considered one of the finest refuges for Tanzania's large wildlife, it covers 2,600 km², sits at an average altitude of 1,100 metres, and is known for its exceptional concentrations of animals between July and October.
The park is also home to species that are sometimes hard to find — or simply absent — from the northern parks: the gerenuk, lesser kudu, oryx, eland, and the most sought-after of all antelopes, the greater kudu.

MANYARA
Continue your safari at Lake Manyara National Park, small in surface area but offering a wide variety of wildlife (lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo…) in an exceptional setting between the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara and its thousands of birds…

Picnic lunch under umbrella acacias, then at the end of the day, drive to the Karatu region and check in to a lovely lodge with a pool and remarkable comfort.

Parc national de Manyara

Manyara National Park is characterized by three distinct landscapes: the Maasai plains savannah interrupted by the Rift Valley, the forest around the lake, and Lake Manyara itself.
Within the plain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland shelters Manyara's legendary lions, often perched on tree branches, watching over the buffalo, baboons, leopards, impalas, giraffes and hippopotamuses that live there.
This exceptional site is also a haven for birdwatchers, with more than 40 bird species gathering here by the thousands.

NGORONGORO – OLDUVAI
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the view from its rim is extraordinary, and safaris down in the crater floor are highly rewarding.
A full day will be devoted to this remarkable 20 km-wide caldera, where you can observe a particularly rich array of wildlife.

At the end of the day, you will reach the striking Olduvai region, moving closer to the Serengeti, and take a walk to the top of a kopje accompanied by a Maasai guide.
Night spent in a lovely permanent tented camp with a strong Out of Africa atmosphere.

Cratère du Ngorongoro

The crater — a caldera, to be precise — measures 20 km in diameter at its base and shelters an extraordinarily rich concentration of wildlife at its centre. From its rim, the view is breathtaking.
This natural amphitheatre is widely regarded as the world’s most famous wildlife sanctuary, home to large numbers of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest, as well as elephants and lions. In total, more than 30,000 animals inhabit the crater, which its bowl-like shape and flat floor make naturally easy to protect from poachers.

SERENGETI
The Tanzania of your imagination unfolds before you. Savannah as far as the eye can see, prides of lions.
No doubt about it, you’re there. Just as you pictured it.

Departure for the central Serengeti, the Seronera region, home to resident wildlife.
You will stay 2 nights in a tented camp at the heart of the Serengeti savannah.
All your senses will be alert to the bush and its sounds after nightfall.

Parc national du Serengeti

The Serengeti. Endless plains. The land of lions. Every budding explorer's dream.
Covering 14,000 km², the Serengeti is one of the largest parks in Africa. Sitting at 1,000 metres' altitude, it spans a range of distinct biotopes: savannah with vast plains to the south, hilly woodland to the west, “kopjes” and termite-mound country to the east, and shrub savannah to the north. Crossed by unbroken columns of zebra and wildebeest during the migration, the savannah is also home year-round to a resident population of spotted hyenas and jackals — likely among the first animals to greet you — as well as the Big Five. It is also the only park in Tanzania where cheetahs and leopards can easily be spotted, and it holds the highest concentration of big cats in the world.

GRUMETI CONCESSION
Your journey will end in the private Grumeti concession, with a final night at a beautiful lodge offering different, more exclusive experiences.

A migratory corridor for herds of animals passing through the region, the Grumeti Reserve, located on the north-western border of the Serengeti, was created by the Tanzanian government in 1994 to protect the route taken by the annual wildebeest migration and the native biodiversity of this vast and important ecosystem.
Its location, as remote as it is lush, offers a far greener safari experience than the eastern parks. Hills, rivers and wooded valleys complement the resplendent land stretching as far as the eye can see.

As in any private reserve, you will have the privilege, away from the crowds, of taking part in night safaris, on foot or even in an electric 4×4.

We recommend a 2-night stay here, after your mobile safari, to rest and enjoy the infinity pool overlooking the endless plains of the Serengeti.
On the last day, you will fly by light aircraft from Grumeti to Arusha.
