EXPEDITIONARY WALKING CAMP
On foot, explore less-frequented regions, off the beaten track, rich in unexpected discoveries.
Depending on the season, you cross vast grassy savannahs, green valleys, majestic mountains, and ochre lands, in the East of the Serengeti (November to February), in the Gol Mountains (March to April), and in the West of the Serengeti (May to June).
The camp, with only 4 tents, booked exclusively, is always set up in strategic locations, allowing you to explore different regions of the Serengeti and follow the animal migration.
After a short light-aircraft flight from Arusha, you are welcomed by your private guide (who also acts as camp manager), an expert in walking safaris, passionate and captivating.
Thanks to his experience, your evenings around the campfire will remain unforgettable, filled with incredible stories and anecdotes.
To look after you, a team of 5 will show attentiveness and resourcefulness to make these few days a moment suspended in time.
The team ensures everything runs smoothly — a team whose names you will quickly learn, and one you will find hard to leave after days of exploring together!
On the program: 3 to 6 hours of walking per day (from age 16), for a stay of at least 3 nights.
Walks begin at dawn, both to make the most of the coolest part of the day and because wildlife is more active at dawn and dusk.
Picture it, and let yourself be carried along for a few seconds:
6:45 am, skirting the ridge on which the camp is set and following it along a winding route that varies between rocky scrubland on the heights and sloping plains below, you come face to face with a group of giraffes and their young, watch raptors overhead, and herds of eland trotting past in the distance.
A few minutes later, crouched down to observe the behavior of dung beetles, you hear a thundering herd of wildebeest pouring out of a valley like a surging flood. At lunchtime in the shade, a hyena creeps closer, then moves away as soon as the wind reveals your presence.
Back at camp at dusk, as marabou storks parachute down to their roosts and frogs begin to sing in chorus, your night promises to be peaceful, lulled by Mother Nature.
Will you be one of these fearless spirits?

LABA MIGRATION CAMP
After a few hours of 4×4 safaris, you reach the new Laba Laba camp, LABA Migration Mobile Camp, where you settle in for 4 nights.
For 4×4 safaris guided by experts in Tanzanian wildlife, this is the place to be!
Exceptional comfort, the atmosphere of an authentic safari dating back to the late 19th century, a décor themed around a “cabinet of curiosities” dedicated to nature, LABA Migration Camp welcomes only a lucky few with its 8 double tents and 2 family tents.
The pleasures of the palate flourish every day with dishes signed Laba Laba, prepared mainly from organic ingredients.
Laba Migration Camp is, without question, our latest Tanzanian favorite!
In the same spirit as Jongomero Camp or Siwandu Camp in southern Tanzania, Laba Migration Camp follows a genuine approach to responsible tourism, close to the heart of Étendues Sauvages.
The camp is dismantled over six days, three times a year, to settle in the main migration areas where animal concentrations are found:
. From late November to late March, in the South of the Serengeti not far from the Ngorongoro Crater, in the Ndutu region. This is the region where herds concentrate and where, in January, around 300,000 wildebeest calves are born.
. From April to July, Laba Migration Camp settles at Msabi, in the West of the Serengeti. This is the height of the rut, when the males are highly active.
. From August to late November, in the North of the Serengeti. There you will encounter the vast migration herds, which can sometimes stretch up to 30 km long.
Want some wonder? Look up and admire the starry skies, far from any light pollution.
And why not extend your safari with a few days on Laba Fanjove Island?
You will undoubtedly experience a memorable stay!
