SOUTHERN PANTANAL
Evening departure for Sao Paulo. Overnight on board, then connecting flight to Campo Grande, the main city of the Southern Pantanal. Transfer to your eco-lodge, where you will stay for 3 nights.
One of Brazil’s pioneers of ecotourism, Caiman Lodge is a fazenda that on its own encapsulates the Pantanal, both in terms of its fauna and its extremely varied vegetation. It has set up a jaguar conservation programme in coordination with Londolozi in South Africa for leopards, as well as a conservation programme for hyacinth macaws.
During your stay, activities are organised in small groups under the guidance of naturalist guides: day and night safaris, by boat, to observe kingfishers, herons, buzzards and egrets crisscrossing the marsh while caimans stand stoic guard, as well as photo safaris, bird watching, on foot or on horseback.

BONITO
Onward to Bonito, where you will stay at a typical Mato Grosso ranch. A vivid stage of the journey: the “Gruta do Lago Azul”, or Blue Lake Cave, with its intense colour, and a snorkelling descent of the Sucuri River, whose water — made transparent by a high concentration of carbonate — offers a swim in the middle of an immense natural aquarium.

IGUAÇU
You will reach Iguaçu Falls by plane from Campo Grande. A natural wonder listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will discover this ensemble of almost 300 cascades pouring down with a thunderous, deafening flow.
We have planned visits to the falls on both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides with your private French-speaking guide, as well as a boat excursion to approach the falls as closely as possible — a soaking guaranteed, much to the delight of children!
You will stay facing this natural wonder, at the only accommodation located within the Park, Das Cataratas, by Belmond.
