Your base camp sits amid a surreal landscape, carved from lava and covered in salt, facing the Llicancabur volcano.
Surrounded by orange cliffs sculpted by wind and water, the Alto Atacama has the feel of a chic ranch. The hotel displays an elegant simplicity, with raw materials, pottery and indigenous weavings. After a day of excursions, a bar, a jacuzzi, six turquoise pools and a spa await you. At night, guests head to the hotel’s own observatory — the Atacama is the best place in the world to observe the stars.
