The spirit of the journey

This extraordinary journey invites you to discover some of Namibia's finest sites. Total immersion between timeless landscapes and the spectacle of African wildlife.

With your private French-speaking driver-guide, you will set out to encounter the leopards of Okonjima and the rich, diverse wildlife of Etosha National Park. Here, the law of nature prevails. No one jumps the queue at the waterhole — every species knows its place, and order is kept according to its own hierarchy.

You will take in the Damaraland desert, tinged with mauve and ochre, and observe desert-adapted elephants — a remarkable feat of nature, as they have perfectly adapted to their arid environment.
Then head west, to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, for a stay on the Skeleton Coast, one of the most remote places on the planet, untouched by any human presence. A feeling of extreme freedom, and the sense of being alone in the world.

Aboard a light aircraft, you will fly over this desolate coastline as well as the Namib Desert, a unique and striking scene unfolding beneath you.
Landing near the iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei, which you will explore during the final leg of your journey.

Let yourself be captivated by this country of unmatched character — a refuge for African wildlife and a masterpiece of nature.

Drive through the landscapes of Namibia, heading north to the Okonjima Reserve, home to the renowned AfriCat Foundation, an organisation dedicated to the rescue and protection of big cats. Among its work is the reintroduction of cheetahs into their natural environment.

Okonjima Plains Camp

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Today, head for Etosha National Park, one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa. You will explore the park on safari with your private guide. Numerous species can be observed here, including elephants, zebras and lions, as well as cheetahs, hyenas and rhinoceroses, among others.

You will spend 3 nights just minutes from the park, in charming, ideally located accommodations — two nights in the eastern section and a final night in the south-west.

Parc national d'Etosha

DAMARALAND – Twyfelfontein region
Departure south into Damaraland, heading towards Twyfelfontein to discover this magnificent, wild and surprising region, where the landscape is tinged with pink, mauve and ochre.

During your stay, you will discover natural sites such as the petrified forest and the Organ Pipes, and set out in search of desert-adapted elephants, emblematic of this arid region. You may also encounter other species such as oryx, ostriches and springbok.

One night in a luxury tented camp.

THE SKELETON COAST
Before heading to the mystical landscapes of the Atlantic coast, set out to discover the famous rock art site at Twyfelfontein.

Arrival in the early afternoon near Möwe Bay, where a lodge vehicle will be waiting to take you to your accommodation for the next two nights.
Along the way, you will already be able to spot the large colonies of Cape fur seals found throughout this region.

The atmosphere here is dramatic — raw, untouched, vast landscapes. Over these two days, expect to find yourself alone with the elements, in a setting that remains pristine and free of human activity, a rare luxury in today’s world.

To make the most of this unique place, a number of activities are on offer:
A full day by 4×4 in the dunes to the Hoarusib River, where you may spot brown hyenas, desert-adapted elephants and, with considerable luck, desert lions.
Exploring Möwe Bay: the seal colony that lives along the coast, shipwrecks and diamond mines.
A sunset walk among the Roaring Dunes, lunch between dunes and ocean. You may also go fishing for your dinner and enjoy the morning light.

Shipwreck Lodge

THE NAMIB DESERT
This morning, drive to the Möwe Bay airstrip to meet your pilot. Departure for a flight over the grand landscapes of Namibia. You will fly aboard a Cessna towards the Namib Desert — a scenic flight above the dramatic Skeleton Coast, a truly indescribable moment. Weather permitting, you will also fly over former diamond prospectors’ camps, shipwrecks and the dunes of Sossusvlei.

Arrival near the Namib Desert for a two-night stay at a lodge set in the heart of nature, close to the park’s entrance gate.

The following day, at first light, you will head into the park to admire the morning colours over the dunes of Sossusvlei — a breathtaking sea of giant dunes, among the highest in the world.

From the summit of “Big Daddy”, you can take in the blue of the sky, the red of the dunes, and the white of Deadvlei with its trapped, long-dead trees. A sight you won’t soon forget!
Optional: hot-air balloon flight over the Namib Desert.

Final nights in this grand setting before flying back to Windhoek and on to Europe.
