NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After a first night in Kigali and a visit to the Rwanda National Museum, you will travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park, where you will spend 2 nights.
You will then have the opportunity to take part in chimpanzee treks: on foot beneath the dense tropical canopy, you will search for colobus monkeys and our cousins the chimpanzees.
Nyungwe’s tropical forest is among the oldest in Africa, known for its waterfalls (which feed the Nile and the Congo), its abundant vegetation and wildlife, and its viewpoints offering splendid vistas.

VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Here you are, at the very heart of this journey, ready to experience one of the finest encounters with wildlife.
An authentic encounter, simply sitting a few metres from magnificent silverbacks, females and their young. A brief encounter, but an intense and moving one.
With the help of a guide and trackers, you will set off in search of mountain gorillas. The trek takes you through farmland at the foot of the volcanoes, then through dense bamboo forest, nettles and damp vegetation. Often, you will leave the beaten track to venture into primary forest, clambering over fallen tree trunks.
3-night stay at a luxury lodge on the edge of Volcanoes National Park.
Optional activities are available, such as a visit to Dian Fossey’s grave, golden monkeys, or a second gorilla trek the following day, or on the last morning before returning to Kigali.
