Layout
Gorilla Safari Lodge has spacious cottages harmoniously integrated into the forest, each with a private terrace offering sweeping views over the jungle. The lodge includes a restaurant serving local and international cuisine, as well as a warm lounge to unwind after treks. A spa is also available for relaxation.
Well-maintained paths connect the common areas to the rooms, ensuring privacy and tranquillity.
Just a few minutes from the trekking starting point, it is ideally located for exploring Bwindi.
Rooms
The sixteen spacious, luxurious chalets at Gorilla Safari Lodge provide the ideal setting to unwind after an exciting day of trekking. All feature solar lighting, an en-suite bathroom and individual verandas with sweeping views of the rainforest.
Two of the chalets have two bedrooms connected by a door — the ideal choice for families or groups.
A third person can be accommodated in a double room (at an additional charge).
Activities offered
The flagship activity at Gorilla Safari Lodge is, of course, gorilla trekking.
But the lodge also offers other activities, such as birdwatching walks, exploration of the surrounding forests, walks to nearby waterfalls, and cycling.
Guided walks to meet local communities or the Echuya Batwa pygmies are also available.
