Kibale
Mirima Kibale Lodge is made up of ten independent cottages, housing twelve rooms in total. Eight suites and two family villas are spread across wooded gardens, with views over the crater lakes.
The Ziwa restaurant welcomes travellers beneath high wooden ceilings, behind expansive bay windows. Its terrace overlooks the infinity pool and the surrounding landscape. The Kyanda bar, set on a high point of the property, invites guests to watch the sunset.
The cuisine favours produce from the kitchen garden and neighbouring producers, in a generous spirit deeply rooted in Ugandan terroir.
The lodge publishes children's rates for ages 6 to 14, without specifying an official minimum age for admission. The family villas accommodate up to six people. No kids' club or dedicated children's menu is advertised.
The lodge offers eight Luxury Suites, designed for two people, and two Family Villas each accommodating up to six travellers.
The suites offer large windows, a private balcony facing Lake Nyamirima, a large bed, an en-suite bathroom and a fireplace.
Each family villa brings together two interconnecting suites, each with its own bathroom featuring a rain shower, fireplaces and a shared terrace.
Warm wood, natural light and privacy come together to create elegant retreats, open onto the landscapes of Kibale.
Tucked away in a bamboo garden, the Mist Spa extends the serenity of Mirima Kibale Lodge. Massages and beauty treatments use locally sourced botanical ingredients. After a forest walk in search of chimpanzees, the body regains its lightness. The infinity pool, facing the crater lakes, completes this moment of respite.
Starting from Mirima Kibale Lodge, Kibale Forest reveals its treasures. Chimpanzee tracking, accompanied by rangers, is the stay's signature experience.
Guided walks allow for exploration of Mirima Forest or the Bigodi wetlands, rich in birdlife. Further afield, the crater lakes can be discovered on foot or by canoe. Night walks, birdwatching, cycling excursions and village encounters round out the experience.
Between adventures, the pool and gardens invite you to slow down, at nature's own pace.
On the conservation side, Mirima contributes 10 USD per person per night to the Gorilla Junction Foundation fund. The lodge runs on solar power, favours filtered water in glass bottles and limits single-use plastics.
The foundation supports community and environmental initiatives.
