Mongolian steppe, Mongolia © Laurent Guillot
Nomadic land
By Laurent Guillot, Founder of Etendues Sauvages: “There are journeys that stay with you. My first trip to Mongolia is unmistakably one of them. A memorable day at the heart of the Mongolian steppe, attending a Naadam festival where we were only five Westerners among thousands of Mongolians. Opening our tent at dawn to a view of Amarbayasgalant Monastery. Meeting nomads and spending time with them and their families. So many moments charged with emotion, authentic, memorable. It's a journey I recommend taking as a family, even with young children. The memories will only be stronger for it!”
