The Time & Tide properties, with whom we work year-round, represent to my mind what tourism should be today, for tomorrow: small-scale structures with a very limited environmental footprint, responsible, respectful of nature and of the people who live there.
One may regret it, but let’s not forget that nowadays, a natural territory without financial resources is a territory at risk, often left in the hands of poachers.
Of course, this doesn’t mean doing just anything there, and certainly not succumbing to the lure of mass tourism.
The address by Thierry Dalais, Chairman of Time & Tide, reflects the company itself and goes entirely in this direction, while being truly inspiring. Having had the chance to stay at some of their properties in Zambia and experience incredible encounters with wildlife alongside people as caring as they were enriching, I find in this film the whole spirit of the journeys we have been designing for more than fifteen years.
