Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge, Tanzania

Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge, Tanzania

6° South – 39° East

Zanzibar. We’re just a few kilometres off the Tanzanian coast, yet the Stone Town souk carries the scents, flavours and atmosphere of the Orient and Asia. Zanzibar isn’t nicknamed the Spice Island by chance!
Heading north along the island, a few quiet hideaways remain, away from the noise and crowds. But for more exclusivity, travel eighty kilometres further north to reach the island of Pemba. Little visited and beautifully preserved, Pemba is a small paradise to be explored without restraint.

To the south, Mafia beckons. More discreet, wilder. Its dive sites and the opportunities to observe whale sharks between October and March are quite exceptional.

With winter and spring already on the horizon, a break of warm sand and disconnection is an appealing prospect.

The Aiyana – PEMBA

The Aiyana is the newest of Pemba’s hotels, at the island’s northernmost tip. It is the most comfortable, the most chic and the most design-driven of all the hotels on Pemba.

White Sands – ZANZIBAR

A unique and charming address, located on the south-east coast of Zanzibar on a magnificent twenty-kilometre stretch of white sand beach, ideal for water sports and particularly kitesurfing (thanks to favourable winds and shallow waters). To preserve the environment, this eco-resort actively supports local associations and sustainable development through the installation of wind turbines and solar panels.

SPECIAL OFFERS
Most of the properties on the Zanzibar Archipelago are offering exceptional rates for stays booked before 30 September 2020 and taken in 2020 (before the Christmas holidays).
Soak up the sun before winter sets in!

Underwater room at Manta Resort – PEMBA

There’s no shortage of ways to observe marine life from the glass bottom of a boat. But spending the night underwater, comfortably settled into a large room “open” to the marine world, is considerably less common!
Set 4 metres below sea level, the room at Manta Resort offers a 360° view of the marine world through wide glass panels. There you can enjoy your night among trumpetfish, red snapper and the manta rays that are plentiful in the Pemba region.

GOOD TO KNOW
Tanzania, like Kenya, has been open to tourists since this summer. Combining the Zanzibar archipelago with a safari in East Africa is ideal for those wanting to see wildlife and enjoy a few days of relaxation.

Pole Pole – MAFIA

Pole Pole, “slowly, slowly” in Swahili.
A charming address, a beautiful eco-lodge on Chole Bay, near the village of Utende on the southern coast of Mafia Island Marine Park. A small pocket of tropical paradise, still unspoilt, a well-kept secret blending a Robinson Crusoe way of life with very attentive service.
