Africa has this extraordinary quality: you think you know it, and yet it always offers surprises, unexpected new places, off-the-beaten-track experiences, unforgettable ones.
“Among all my trips to Africa, this is one of the most beautiful, without doubt the most moving” Sonia told us, on returning from a safari in Rwanda to observe mountain gorillas. “A gem” to describe Malawi, or “Incredibly authentic” to describe Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe.
Even though we’re always elated on returning from a great trip, these accounts aren’t without truth. Because all these places stir strong emotions, create magnificent memories.
The list could have been longer, but we limited it to five choices. Five, an iconic number for any safari enthusiast in Africa!
Malawi and Majete Reserve – A night under the stars, at Mkulumadzi Lodge
Rwanda and Volcanoes National Park – Observing mountain gorillas, at Bisate Lodge
Tanzania and Ruaha National Park – In the shade of baobabs, at Kwihala Camp
Zambia and Luambe National Park – Hippos, hippos, and more hippos, at Luambe Camp
Zimbabwe and Mana Pools National Park – Approaching elephants, at John’s Camp
It’s up to you to discover them with Étendues Sauvages!
