GREEN SAFARI – An Electric Atmosphere

The atmosphere is electric!

It’s time to embrace silence and the unhurried pace offered by “Green Safaris” in Zambia’s main national parks.

These safaris run silent, allowing a closer approach to wildlife and letting you feel the savannah’s rhythms without the noise pollution of a combustion-engine 4×4. The smoothness of these new vehicles makes room for a closer attention to scents, sounds, and tracks — a new way of experiencing the bush.

In this new, more environmentally conscious era, we place respect for nature — and for animals in particular — at the center of what we offer. The philosophy behind these safaris grew out of a deep connection to Africa’s intact wild spaces, its wildlife, and the communities who live there. Our regional partners were among the first to pioneer the concept of the Silent Safari.

Electric vehicles make it possible to access sensitive or even protected areas where combustion-engine vehicles are banned due to their environmental impact.
This mode of safari is also highly valuable for wildlife photographers, who can reposition with small movements for a better shot without the disruption of an engine’s noise.

Whether or not you’re a photographer, silence allows for a genuine connection with nature.
Isn’t that the point?

As an ever-evolving, environmentally conscious approach within a sustainability-focused ecotourism, these more responsible safaris are opening a new path for the future of travel!

The selected properties are scattered across some of the most sought-after corners of Zambia, in Southern Africa. With their forward-thinking design, optimizing a contemporary, modern living space, they contribute to your comfort and rest. These lodges are also built with respect for the environment, and all safari activities rely exclusively on green technologies. Boats, bikes, and electric 4x4s are all recharged using solar power.
