The spirit of the journey

As a complement to the Atacama or Patagonia, we offer an escape for two, away from the busiest tourist routes.
A journey through Chile centred on wine and disconnection.

With your own vehicle, you'll reach the Chilean vineyards of the Colchagua Valley. A setting to delight all five senses, where wine and gastronomy take centre stage. You'll stay at an estate set in an ideal environment to discover the beauty of nature in an authentic, intimate atmosphere.

You'll then stop along the Pacific coast, at a new property facing the ocean, at times rough and wild. We love the warm, comfortable simplicity of the place — ideal for recharging.

This escape finally leads you to Valparaiso. A legendary port city of colourful houses, where every street corner is a space for artistic expression, blending traditional and Western influences.
This is Latin American identity, lived firsthand!

Departure from Santiago with your rental vehicle towards Santa Cruz, to reach the Vik estate, one of Chile’s most renowned vineyards. A tasting is a must, but that’s not all.

The 4,400-hectare private estate celebrates the singular setting of Vik Chile, with unprecedented architecture and design, artworks and decor, environmentally responsible practices, warm and attentive service, and a wide range of activities for guests.

You’ll be spoilt for choice: cycling or horseback riding through the vineyards, hiking in the mountains and primary forest, or strolling through the organic orchards. You can pick the ingredients yourself that will go into the dishes served at your table that same day.

At the hotel, wine guides the cuisine. A unique gastronomic experience, crafted by our team of talented Chilean chefs and built on the freshness of seasonal ingredients. The flavours of the region’s specialities are brought out through their pairing with the estate’s wines.

Onward to the Pacific coast, at Punta de Lobos, a black rock outcrop overlooking the Pacific Ocean not far from the seaside village of Pichilemu, dubbed the “new Tulum”. Frequented by surfers from around the world, this village is fast becoming “the place to be”.

A local architect and a well-known interior designer had the inspired idea of setting a few bungalows facing the ocean, beautifully integrated into the landscape.

Alaia

Hotel Alaia is located near the fashionable seaside resort of Pichilemu, on a rocky peninsula known as Punta de Lobos. Here, the Pacific is a playground for surfers from around the world.

Hotel Alaia is the work of local architect Nicolas Pfenniger and decorator Paulina Catafau, who created this comfortable refuge that blends seamlessly into the landscape.

Black-stone bungalow-chalets with oversized glass windows, old wooden boards, and other materials salvaged here and there following the devastating 2010 earthquake are scattered between sea and moorland. You'll fall under the spell of the striking rocks and cliffs where the waves break, splashing enthusiasts and awestruck onlookers alike.

The journey ends with a 2-night stopover in Valparaiso.
A legendary port city of colourful houses, Valparaiso nestles along the Pacific in an extraordinary natural amphitheatre setting. Wander through the hillside neighbourhoods, linked together by funiculars.

You’ll stay in a former Victorian house from the early 20th century, restored and transformed into a charming boutique hotel. A Valparaiso landmark!
