SEATTLE
From the moment you arrive, explore this lively city on foot, by bike or by ferry.
The next morning, head to Pike Place Market, Seattle’s hub for fresh, local produce. There you’ll meet your private chef for a personalised, flavourful and informative tour of the “behind the scenes” of this iconic city landmark.
Later in the afternoon, you’ll take to the skies by seaplane over Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands, taking in views of the city and pine-covered islands spread out below. End your day with dinner at one of Seattle’s award-winning restaurants, such as Opus or Carnivore.
You’ll spend 2 nights in this bustling city.
CANNON BEACH
Leaving Seattle, follow the Puget Sound shoreline toward Washington State’s capital, Olympia. You’ll pass through small farming towns surrounded by cranberry bogs before reaching the charming coastal town of Cannon Beach and your seaside lodge for the next two nights.
Upon waking, it’ll be time to get your heart rate up with fat tire biking along the vast beaches at low tide. Once refreshed, head to the wooded cliffs of Indian Beach for a gourmet picnic. However you spend your day, make sure to end it with a Pacific sunset and an evening of roasting marshmallows by the fire, stargazing and listening to the breaking waves.
You’ll find your stay here goes by all too quickly.
DEPOE BAY AND GOLD BEACH
Before continuing your journey down the coast, you’ll meet a local fisherman for a crab fishing outing in one of the protected coastal bays.
After lunch (prepared, with any luck, from the fruits of your catch), you’ll head south along the scenic Three Capes Loop, winding through green pastures, small seaside towns, sand dunes and rainforest. In Depoe Bay, a coastal gem built on a rugged, rocky shoreline, you’ll find your inn for the night.
On your first day in the region, you’ll pass some of Oregon’s most iconic coastal sites, bearing evocative names like Devil’s Punchbowl and Thor’s Well. Near Coos Bay, an ATV adventure awaits in the Oregon Dunes, the largest coastal dune system in North America. End your day at the lodge for a peaceful night on the Rogue River.
After your second night, you’ll be picked up from the lodge’s private dock for a jet boat tour, following the old mail route along this unspoiled stretch of the Rogue River. Back at the lodge, unwind with a good book, relax by the pool, try your hand at fly fishing, or do nothing at all!

MENDOCINO AND SONOMA
After a day and a cosy night atop the cliffs just across the California border, off the beaten track among ancient giants, your route will lead you to Mendocino, where you’ll stay for 2 nights.
Spend a day exploring the town on your own, or paddle up the Big River in a handmade redwood canoe, exploring the protected estuary with a private naturalist guide.

SAN FRANCISCO
Savour the final leg of your journey from Seattle to San Francisco.
The Mendocino coast is known for its wild, rugged shoreline, turquoise waters and welcoming coastal towns. Stop along the way for a lunch of freshly shucked oysters before crossing the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco.
You may choose to spend a few extra days exploring San Francisco, staying in the heart of the city or across the bay in Sausalito.
