Sample tailor-made journey, fully customizable
Alaska
6 days / 5 nights
From mid-July to late September
To reach the Kodiak Brown Center, you will take a flight from Anchorage to Kodiak Island, then a floatplane to Camp Island on Karluk Lake. The Kodiak Brown Center is located on Camp Island, more than 50 km from the coastline. This is an area with a high concentration of salmon.
The center occupies a strategic position within the property, among the boats and kayaks used for cruises along the lake. It offers visitors unmatched opportunities to observe bears in their natural habitat.
On the following days, you will have a choice of several activities: bear watching, hiking, fishing, or kayaking on the lake. Around the center, you will have the chance to see Kodiak’s distinctive wildlife, such as deer, fox, and river otter. From your room, you will have a prime view of the lake, with an outdoor deck from which bears and other wild animals can be spotted.
On the morning of the fourth day, you will once again be able to take part in an activity. After lunch, you will prepare to head back to Kodiak and then on to Anchorage.
