Emmanuelle Grundmann’s new book has just been released!
A primatologist, Emmanuelle Grundmann is the author of “Ces forêts qu’on assassine” (Calmann-Lévy, 2007), as well as numerous books, including several for children.
She regularly contributes to various magazines such as Terre Sauvage and has appeared as a scientific expert on several Ushuaïa Nature programmes.
Her commitment to protecting all animal and plant species extends well beyond 2010, the International Year of Biodiversity.
In this compelling and passionate essay, both instructive and poetic, she makes the case for biodiversity and warns us: “at the rate we are destroying it, by 2100 we will be alone in the world. From that point on, our own extinction will be set in motion. An old utopia will turn into a nightmare, unless, by finally understanding the true value of biodiversity, we manage to reverse the course of events…”
