Made up of more than 7,000 islands, the Philippine archipelago stretches over 1,700km and presents a variety of faces, landscapes and cultures,
from the idyllic islands of the south…
…to the northern highlands of Luzon island, as in Banaue:
This distinctive geography has given rise to extensive exchanges that have fostered a particularly rich artistic tradition.
To discover Philippine arts, head to the Musée du Quai Branly until July 14, 2013, for the exhibition Philippines, Archipelago of Exchanges.
This is the first exhibition on this country held in France in 20 years. It is organized around two perspectives, one turned toward the sea, the other toward the mountains.
Then go discover the Philippines in person: its beaches and its mountains
