We offer a long, original and initiatory journey through northern Vietnam and Laos to meet several ancestral ethnic groups of the region (Black and White H’mong, Lao, Black Dao, Black Thai, and Giay), travel through and sleep at the heart of Ha Long Bay aboard a private junk, pass through Dien Bien Phu and descend the Nam Ou River to Muang Ngoi and then Nong Khiaw by traditional boat, before reaching Luang Prabang and travelling up the Mekong for nearly a full day toward the very pleasant Muang La Resort, in the far north of Laos, close to the Thai border.
